In this lesson, your students will create a painterly depiction of beautiful vase of cherry blossoms. They will let go of perfectionism and embrace a swift challenge guided by you, or a timer!
The restrictions of a guided or timed lesson forces everyone to get out of their comfort zone and create without over-thinking the process.
This lesson can be adapted to feature any locally blooming flora. Consider taking your class for a walk, or setting out real flower vases, and try some observational drawing with oil pastels as an exercise before painting.
No matter how you choose to approach this project, the results are always a whimsical display of flower beauty!
